Pride Month books

Happy Pride Month! We should be more aware of this every month, but June is commemorating the Stonewall riots, which took place at the end of June 1969. So in honour of Pride Month, I wanted to shout out to some of the LGBTQIA+ books on my shelves.

Let’s make a rainbow 🏳️‍🌈 There are so many amazing LGBTQIA+ books out there, I was so pleased to see a display dedicated to these books in Waterstones recently. To narrow this list down, these are the LGBTQIA+ books on my shelves, I know there are so many more amazing ones, I’m trying to buy more every month. So please let me know more recommendations in the comments!

I want to point out that it’s been a while since I’ve read some of these books and some of them are still on my TBR. So if I’ve mislabeled some I apologise, let me know and I’ll switch them about. I’m mainly relying on my memory and Google!

  1. This is a great post, Beth! I’d definitely recommend Girls of Paper and Fire (although I’d check out the TWs first just in case).

  2. This is a fab post Beth! I adored Priory, Gent’s Guide, Simon Vs, Vicious, and Rukhsana Ali so I’m happy to see all those on the list! I’d also recommend Summer Bird Blue and Tash Hearts Tolstoy for ace rep, and the Weight of the Stars (which I’m currently reading) for f/f rep. I’m really keen to read Girls of Paper and Fire, and Let’s Talk about Love this year as well. Happy pride!

  3. Thanks Kate! I’m so glad you liked it. I’ve heard so much about Tash Hearts Tolstoy, I think I’ll have to pick that one up!
