I went through a rollercoaster of thoughts when reading this book, at the start, I enjoyed the atmosphere, by the middle I was getting kinda mad and then at the end I had goosebumps. There’s little I can say reflectively about this book without spoiling it, so little I will say.

This is a book about three women, they’ve all been stood up on Valentine’s Day by the same man and this book tells their stories. This is a romance, but it’s more of a story about these strong women and their journeys. I really enjoyed how different they were and what they brought to the book. Beth O’Leary’s writing style is very easy to get on with, it feels like you’re reading about a friend. Everything is very clear to picture and the characters walk right off the page.

Beth O’Leary is a clever woman indeed with how she wrote this story. I really hated one specific character in the middle and was heading towards a rant review. But by the end, I had totally changed the way I saw this book and said hated character. It ended up giving me goosebumps and genuinely surprised me. Best read in a few sittings for full effect I’d say! I love it when a book gives me such strong opinions on something and then totally changes my mind, as I’ve said, a rollercoaster.
