October may well be one of my favourite months, the Autumn leaves, the change in weather, Halloween! It’s been a pretty good month all in all, I’ve had a lot of highlights to reflect back on. This is also the last post in my Autumn Series, I’ve really enjoyed writing these posts, but as we move into Winter I’m going to be saying goodbye to the Autumn season.
October was a pretty awesome month for reading, I loved nearly every book I picked up (which you can’t often say). I think my favourite of these has to be The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, that book was unlike anything else and I loved it. Vengeful was another superb reading, and as the sequel to Vicious it was a highly anticipated one for me this year.
I read Angels and Demons as a prelude to going to Rome in November and it did not disappoint. I loved this story, it captured me right from the start and I couldn’t put it down. This one gave me real goosebumps and I can’t wait to continue on with this series.
Vengeful, V. E. Schwab // 5 STAR
The Gilded King, Josie Jaffrey // 4 STAR
Angels and Demons, Dan Brown // 5 STAR
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Taylor Jenkins Reid // 5 STAR
‘Salem’s Lot, Stephen King // 2½ STAR
The Prince of Mist, Carlos Ruiz Zafón // 3 STAR
This month saw the return of two of my favourite shows. These two are very different from each other, but yet nothing that happens in them would ever surprise me if it were too random. Anything can happen in these shows. American Horror Story has been a returning favourite of mine for a few years now and this new season combines Murder House and Coven, my two favourite past series.
The Good Place is always a safe bet for something truly bizarre, funny and insane. I love the oddities in it and the characters that I have become of so familiar with. I’ve also come to expect the unexpected from American Horror Story too, I’ve been following this show since the first season and I just love it!
American Horror Story, Apocalypse // 4 STAR
The Good Place, season 3 // 5 STAR
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch // 3 STAR
I went to the cinema to see A Star is Born this month after hearing such raving reviews about it. I have to say that whilst it was a well done, and certainly emotional film, it went on a little too long for my liking. I thought the ending was very dragged out.
I had to watch Angels and Demons of course, after finishing the book and to get me even more excited and my trip to Rome. I have to say though, I definitely preferred the book to the film, but let’s be honest, that’s usually the case!
A Star is Born // 3½ STAR
Indiscrete // 3 STAR
Angels and Demons // 3 STAR
Aside from the fiction I consumed this month I also did a few really exciting things. Amongst going to London, visiting Bath and Winchester, I also met the man and legend himself, Sir David Attenborough. You can believe that I was over the moon with excitement and happiness to meet such an idol of mine. It was honestly amazing. I asked him where the most beautiful place he’d ever visited was and he said Southern Indonesia, where there were no Europeans. A good answer I’d say, and now somewhere that I would love to visit!

Ive always wanted to watch American Horror Story .. but haven’t yet xD I did had gotten Netflix for 2months but alas, I prefer youtube instead of Tv shows, and im not a movie person.. so it was ending up pointless :/
Looks like you got a nice October, and Im wishing you an even better November my dear ! xx
