AUTUMN SERIES: Recommending you Autumnal coloured books

One of the best things about Autumn is the colours right? The reds and oranges? I thought I’d put a few recommendations together for you today based on the beautiful colours of Autumn.

A huge thanks to Jenn from Jenniely.com who wrote a fab blog post with Blogtober inspiration ideas, where I pinched and adapted this idea from. I’m not doing Blogtober, but I thought this would fit really well into my Autumn Series posts.

So let’s dive in and get some recommendations going.

Red

• City of Ghosts, Victoria Schwab 
Because how could I not recommend the Queen at every chance I get? The UK edition of this book is entirely red and beautiful. It’s about ghosts and friendship and it’s the cosiest read going.

• Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Laini Taylor
Reading this book was an experience, I really felt like I was in the story. It was a totally different fantasy to anything I’d read before. Set in the real world, this book is a must read for any fans of the weird.

• Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda, Becky Albertalli
I’m sure you’ve probably heard of this book by now, but it’s red so it’s coming at you again! This is a fantastic story and a very important one to read, I’d really advice it for anyone who enjoys contemporaries, or even if you don’t give it a read.

Orange

• Muse of Nightmares, Laini Taylor
If you haven’t read the Strange the Dreamer series yet, then you really do need to! This book series is just fantastic, it’s a fantasy unlike any other. The world is rich and addictive and the characters are just so fantastic. (This books looks more orange in person, but now I’m looking at it here, it’s red. But I’m leaving it here because I have no more orange books)

• The Shadow of the Wind, Carlos Ruiz Zafón
Perhaps more of a gold, but I’m claiming it. This book is is so immersive, the story of a boy come man tracking down the origin of a book he has loved all of his life.

• Every Day, David Levitah
This book was a very fast read for me, it’s about someone who never lives their day in the same body. They occupy someone else’s mind, but just for a day. It’s an extremely interesting read.

I was thinking of adding brown in here too, but it seems brown isn’t an appealing book cover colour. Let me know your Autumnal coloured reading recommendations in the comments!
