Even now, as I’m writing this post my brain is going … what?! Because I have no idea how this has happened and how my tiny little corner of the internet managed to capture the attention of enough people to result in me being nominated for a blogging award.

The UKYA Blogging and Vlogging Awards are held annually to celebrate the successes of creators in the UKYA community. This year the awards are to be held on the Friday of YALC, where I shall be a nervous wreck on a puddle on the floor.

UKYABA themselves describe these awards as “The UKYA Blogger & Vlogger Awards are about celebrating UKYA book-bloggers and vloggers, and thanking them for all they do to support the whole bookish community, but especially authors, publishers and readers.”

These are THE blogging awards for us book bloggers in the UK so you can imagine the shock on my face when I was longlisted for both Most Inspirational Blogger and Best Bookish Post. Then to further be shortlisted for Most Inspirational Blogger, I just can’t quite believe it. I’ve had this blog since 2016, it’s taken many forms, but I am so thrilled to see all of my hard work paying off and getting noticed.

Of course, though, I’m not alone in being nominated, I’m up against some other FANTASTIC bloggers.
