Books addictive enough to read in one sitting-3

I love finding a book that is such a page-turner I can’t not sit down in one sitting and devour it. These books are all ones I think could be one sitting reads because they’re fast-paced, exciting and full of amazing plot twists and turned!

One of Us Is Lying, Karen M. McManus

This YA Thriller is one I read in one sitting and adored! It’s about five students who have all ended up in detention together, but only four leave. This is based around the typical high school stereotypes, it’s an easy read and the mystery behind finding out how one of the five died is what drives it and makes it, in my opinion, a one-sitting read.

All Your Twisted Secrets, Diana Urban

Having recommended you One of Us is Lying, it wouldn’t be right not to shout about All Your Twisted Secrets, another YA thriller that I became so obsessed with. It’s similar to One of Us Is Lying in terms of the stereotypes and the who done it nature, as six teens are trapped in a room and told they have to choose one person to kill before a bomb goes off and kills them all. Honestly, I adored this book and I can’t stop recommending it!

A Curse so Dark and Lonely, Brigid Kemmerer

This book is the first in a fantasy series that is so addictive. A Curse so Dark and Lonely is a young adult fantasy book that is a retelling of beauty and the beast. It crosses between our world and a magical one that fierce and feisty Harper has been dragged into to try and save Prince Rhen. This is a bit bigger than the thrillers above, but I think it’s exciting, magical and gripping enough to be a one-sitting read!

Vicious, V. E. Schwab

I first read this book during a readathon and I loved it! It’s perfect for fans of X-Men, featuring ExtraOrdinary people who have developed abilities as a result of near-death experiences. I’ve always loved reading books and watching films with magical abilities, so this is the perfect series for me. You’ll definitely want to read this is one-sitting when you get started into the world of Eli and Victor, trust me!

They Both Die at the End, Adam Silvera

This book both traumatised and fascinated me. A heartbreaking YA contemporary from Adam Silvera, the king of tears. In this book, you get told you will die, on that day. Traumatic right?! You are told the ending of this book at the start of the book, you’d think that wouldn’t make you that hooked, but let me tell you, it does! I needed to read this book quickly or I’d be too worried by thinking about the ending!
