I’m a good people person, I like helping people and talking to them, but sometimes I lose faith in humanity and need to turn to a book. So here are 17 examples of what books are better than people.
1) Relationships with a book are very easy to maintain
But sometimes we have to work a bit harder to keep up a relationship with a real-life human.
2) Books don’t tend to be rude to you
I mean they can be a bit when they kill your favourite character…
3) Books won’t run away and leave you on your own
I don’t think the can grow legs, but only time will tell!
4) People can’t take you to another world… unless they have magic, but books can!
Saying that… if someone wants to take me on a magical adventure I am all yours!
5) Generally, books smell better than people…
Can you beat the smell of books? Fresh pages brushing against your nose? Bliss
6) People can break up with you, books can’t.
Books will always have your back, they’ll never tell you you can’t see each other any more.
7) They are less expensive than a baby… sometimes…
This is true unless you spend no money on your baby, or buy a special edition book every day.
8) They don’t disturb you when you’re trying to read, because you’re reading them!
Isn’t that great? The silence of just you, you’re book and no human disturbance.
9) They can sit with you in the bath
Just please don’t drop them!
10) They don’t run out of energy, so they’re always good to go
Unless you have an e-book, then that will need a charge!
11) Books will always be there for you
No matter what, you can always rely on books to be there for you. Whether they’re in your library, bookshop, home or phone.
12) You can take a book with you anywhere
Portable and they smell good… could it get much better?
13) Books help you become more intelligent, sometimes people make you lose brain cells.
Need I say more?
14) You can’t choose your family… but you can choose your books!
You can pick any book you want and they’ll always love you!
15) Books won’t judge you, so you can be as weird as you like around them!
Have a dance party with your books, sing to them, photograph them, they won’t mind!
16) I’d say they won’t annoy you… but some people may disagree with me there
Sometimes characters can get on my nerves, but more often I get on with my books very well.
17) You can easily walk away from a book if you don’t like it.
*coughs* DNFing books is okay! *coughs* here’s my blog post about it…
Do you have any more reasons to add?

I love number 13 lol
Haha I love this Beth, definitely made me laugh and relate 💞
Such a good post! Also all very true points. Books will never ever let you down!
Number five made me laugh.
Being able to take books everywhere and anywhere, and disappear into another world entirely, is one of the reasons why I adore reading so much. When going back to favourites, you know they won’t let you down and will always lift your spirit, and that’s so special!
I 100% feel you on books not being judgemental. I’m pretty sure all of my books love me so they won’t judge me for wanting to switch from classics to ‘trashy’ romance novels 😂
Haha! This is awesome. And so true!
This made me chuckle. Books are superior.
