Happy World Book Day to all of my lovely readers! This day brings up memories of me dressed in all sorts of rather strange character outfits – I was a golden ticket one year from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which involved wearing a very big golden sign around my shoulders and wonka bar wrappers in my hair. Another year I was Hermione were we crimped my hair and drew on freckles. I always remember my friend being the Wardrobe from the Narnia books which is just amazing isn’t it?! We have to credit our parents for some wacky World Book Day dress up ideas, and then fear the day we have to come up with them ourselves.
This year I’ve been very excited to be working with World Book Day on their promotion for the day. I’ve been running a competition for them on Twitter and my blog and today I am announcing the winner! Winning:
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green (Penguin)
Fly by Night by Frances Hardinge (Macmillan)
I Have No Secrets by Penny Joelson (Egmont)
Summoner: The Novice by Taran Matharu (Hachette)
Gangsta Rap by Benjamin Zephaniah (Bloomsbury)
Shall we have a drum roll to announce the lucky bibliophile that will be sent these five books…?
Congratulations to Nicola! Click here to view her blog!
Thank you so much to everyone who entered, the selection was entirely random and I’m thrilled to be sending the books to Nicola. I love running competitions on my blog and social media accounts, so keep your eyes out for more in the future!
