A Not So Christmassy Christmas TBR

‘Twas the weekend before Christmas and Blogmas was nearly past, however would every tired blog writer last?

Thank you to everyone who has been reading my blog posts as part of Blogmas, I know there have been quite a few, but this has got me into the routine of writing a bit more regularly. So for my second to last post, I’m bringing it back to books and writing about the small pile of books I hope to get to over the winter break.

The first is my current read, Cress, I’ve not got long left of this book. It’s the third in the Lunar Chronicles series and as ever I am enjoying the story immensely, it’s so fast paced and both plot and character driven, it’s superb. If you don’t know what this series is about, it’s sci-fi adaptations of fairytales all merged into one, so it’s right up my street! So I plan on finishing that over this weekend and then moving onto a new addition to my TBR.

Next up is The Bear and the Nightingale, a book I received recently in a subscription box and seems to fit perfectly into what I want from a wintery read. This is set in Russia and is about magic and folklore, it looks like such a cosy read, I can’t wait to get round to it. The cover is beautiful and makes me desperate to dive into it too!

My final TBR book for the holidays is Coldmaker, already the title makes it sound perfect for winter! This book is about a time where cold no longer exists because it was taken from these people and they are now left to suffer their life in sweltering heat. It sounds very different from anything else, so I’m looking forward to reading it soon!

So that’s it for my Christmas TBR, what’s on yours?
